It stars Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. An unemployed small-town man defies all odds and naysayers and starts his own garment business. Thugs of Hindostan is an upcoming 2018 Indian Hindi-language action-adventure film written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. It is based on Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug, and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.It is set to be released during Diwali on 7 November 2018. Hichki (English: Hiccup) is an upcoming Indian Bollywood drama film, directed by Sidharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films.The film is an adaptation of Hollywood film Front of the Class (2008), which itself was based on the book, Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had by Brad Cohen, of which Yash Raj Films acquired the rights.The film stars Rani Mukerji in the lead role of a teacher having Tourette Syndrome.

Set in small towns like Jhansi and Kota where patriarchy is as evident as daylight, the movie focuses on Badrinath (Varun Dhawan), a sahukar’s son in pursuit of a bride. He spots Vaidehi (Alia Bhatt) at a wedding and starts wooing her. But Vaidehi refuses to bow down to social pressure and succumb to a marriage nurtured by an IV drip of dowry. Turns out she’s that mutant small-town girl with actual opinions and ambitions and most importantly, a spine.
